The 3Dpen method heats, melts, extrudes filaments of a thermoplastic resin, and shapes a desired shape. In the current market, PLA is used as a main distribution material, and a small number of other resins are compatible. Considering on a macro unit basis, thermoplastic resin and metal are technologically similar. Therefore, we are developing 3D metal printing technique using 3Dpen method.
We think 3Dprinter and 3Dpen is another application and another market. Now 3Dpen is just follow of plastic and hard to find original merit. Education or toy use will limitation market and temporary process for future application.
Advantage:
- There are no similar products in the current market, and possible to expect stable business.
- Excellent in durability and endurance as compared with conventional plastic and wood
- Unlike in the past, there was no limitation on the size of the model, realizing an output size that exceeds the home furniture
- It is compatible with safe material for human body and meets safety such as tableware and medical use
- Metal is no need to finish after 3Dprinting.
Disadvantage:
- The printing material is heavy and there is no storage place in the 3DGun.
- Printing model will be keep hot and need to care of operation.
- Consideration for recycling after use
We offer customized products from customer to production process. Metal gun has application examples as many as customers. We will focus on technically advanced products rather than general mass-produced items and consumables. We will support the development of metal 3D printing technology according to customer’s request. We cover a complete system from proposal to distribution of metal materials for development.
